Downtown (North and South Centre)

siberian: Are you sure you want to live in Edmonton? There are a lot of nice smaller size cities, as St.Albert, Sherwood Park, leduc, etc. That is all metro Edmonton, but nice lifestyle. Write me in privare, I will tell you nmore

Aleksa: Cambridge West 8808-165 st 2 bedr 725$ per month. Swimming pool and small fitness room in the office. Quiet and nicely situated community. Call Sally - manager - 4848493. Bus stop just near the enterance. Elmwood elementary school - very respectable one. Call them and check Cogito program. If they take your junior - they will provide bussing. For the first time - not bad. WEM just accross the bridge. You can sign month to month - 775$ for 2 bed. Always can move if you don't like.

Aleksa: There are two highrises near by - West Meadowlark village. I wouldn't rent there. Parking sucks. You can also find some townhouses for rent more west after 170st.

lelic: To Aleksa, Нашел West Meadowlark Community League Ну, чуть повыше Cambridge Вест.

Right. lelic пишет: Millwoods BIG Oh, sorry, you probably didn't get this. I meant - don't choose Millwoods because this area is "big no-no" - too much crime elements, "brown" gangs etc. All I can say that West is better than YoungxFinch area in Toronto. It still ain't "Small Russia"

SE? Everything south of 34Ave and East of Calgary Trail -

ZERO: Personally I love living on the North side (west from 127 St and north from 140 Ave). Easy access to downtown, all shopping, new Cineplex and not that much of crazy traffic as on West-End... just IMO But I donno about schools in that area...

siberian: You will need to decide if you lke the feel of the big city, highrises, appartments or you want to have a townhouse with the backyard and the playground for kids. Personally, I like the feel of the smaller city better. Cleaner even, safer for kids to walk to school w/o crossing big roads. But is is all personal. If you used to live in Moscow, all our suburbs will be too boring. If you were born in the small city then do not hesitate and go to the satellite cities as Sherwood, St.Albert, etc., life will be more pleasant and slow. Definitely Millwoods with the mixed poplation is not the best chouice. Some NE is ok, close to Manning, but again schools there are more crowded, as it is a new area. Less trees, more big box stores. Clareview is not so bad ( I do not mean near the LRT, but around, plus you will have acsess to LRT). Personally I would recomment St. Albert, as I wrote.

Aleksa: We moved from St Albert because of "crazy traffic"(c Zero) from and to at the rush hours. But really liked living there. Much better place than Edmonton.
